MUMBAI: Universal Music has entered the Assamese Music industry and ‘Borolor Ghar’ is the first ever Assamesse movie album released by Universal Music in 2012.

Borolor Ghar (The Bachelor’s House) is also the first Assamese movie from film maker Mani C Kappen. It is a romantic fun movie about a youth from a village in Assam who marries a Bengali girl while working in Bengal and there after his struggle to introduce the girl to the family as his wife. The Movie is produced and directed by Mani C Kappen under the banner Okay productions. The songs in the movie are penned by Dilip Kumar Borah and Music is by K R Srijit. The movie stars Utpal Das and Debasmita Baerjee are in the lead roles.
