Times Music launches audio of Marathi Film ‘Mee Sindhutai Sapkal’

MUMBAI: Music launch of the film â€?Mee Sindhutai Sapkal’ directed by Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, produced by Sachin and Bindiya Khanolkar of Siddhivinayak Cinevision. The film is based on the true story of a lady called Sindhutai Sapkal who has dedicated her life to the welfare of thousands of poor orphaned children. This Marathi film has been selected for screenings at the prestigious London Film Festival (London) and the South Asian International Film Festival (New York).

A feather in the cap for this extraordinary production is its extraordinary music track. Madgulkar and Suresh Bhat, alongwith songs by prominent contemporary lyricists. The songs composed by Ashok Patki have been marvelously rendered by Devaki Pandit and Suresh Wadkar. In this CD, Sindhutai herself has spoken about each of the songs narrating alongside her real life experiences.

The music launch of the album was graced by none other than Amitabh Bachchan. Sindhutai Sapkal herself was present at the event. Also present were director Ananth Narayan Mahadevan, producers Sachin and Bindiya Khanolkar, music composer Ashok Patki, singers Suresh Wadkar and Devaki Pandit, lyricist Praveen Davne and the cast of the film.
