MUMBAI:91.9 FM Radio Indigo Bangalore, the only International music station in the country is celebrating the biggest form of art on human anatomy – the Tattoo! On Cruise Control, (5 – 8 pm weekdays) the show hosted by Bangalore`s own Manic man Rohit Barker, listeners will get the best know how about tattoos through the week and also a chance to win the prize for flaunting the best and the freakiest tattoos.
`Ink Week`, a special on Cruise Control is dedicated to body art, the people who fashion tattoos, to those who engrave them; those who want them to those who dare to wear them. It promises to be a fun week as RJ Rohit Barker interacts with tattoo artist Russell and features the people with the craziest tattoos especially if they are completely covered by them. The special will end on Friday 26 th Oct with a contest held for all those people with the most number of tattoos, the freakiest and most crazy designs possibly located in the weirdest of places which they are not afraid to flaunt. Famed tattoo artist Russell known for his love for crazy body impressions and his even crazier Tattoo Parlour will judge the contest and select his favourites. The `Ink week` will also feature `Miami Ink` – Rohit Barker will contact the famous tattoo parlour Miami Ink, Miami, to find out more about the number 1 tattoo Parlour in the world. An hour will be dedicated to artistes with tattoos, and their crazy stories behind their tattoos. Anyone who thinks have the best tattoos can enter the contest, which will close on Thursday by mailing in his or her photos to cruisecontrol@radioindigo.fm . On Thursday the show will feature people with the most number of tattoos and the wackiest designs as we find out why they decided to get them done. The winner will get to have Russell ink him/ her with another tattoo, live on-air on Friday 26 th Oct! The winner will have RJ Malavika for company as she will get inked herself live on the show Cruise Control between 5 and 8 pm. Radio Indigo had previously captured the Aerosmith fever when the band toured the city, by having 2 ardent fans getting tattooed live on air. This was the first time anyone was getting inked live on radio, with `Ink week` Radio Indigo will continue to celebrate this body art the world fancies!
