MUMBAI: Submerge is pleased to announce a 6 city Pearl Tour to celebrate the International digital release of â€?Pearl JOOF DJ Sessions – Volume 1′ – A first of its kind for an Indian DJ. The tracks have been hand picked and mixed by Pearl from the international record label JOOF Records. The album is available as a digital release on leading online legal download portals such as Beatport, JOOF, Trackitdown, Junodownload, Traxsource, Amazon, Audiojelly and iTune. The tour will see Pearl playing at cities such as Mumbai, Hyderabad, Bangalore, Pune, Delhi and Kolkata. The first gig of the tour will happen at Area 51, Pune on 26th February 2011.
The release of â€?Pearl JOOF DJ Sessions – Volume 1′ is a significant milestone for Electronic Dance Music in India as it’s the first digital release of a mix of this magnitude by an Indian artist The mix features tracks such as JAWA – Ovnimoon Remix by John ’00’ Fleming, Snake Valley – Club Remix by Anton Chernikov presents Crystal Verge and Define Sine by Static Flow, to name a few.
Speaking on her first International Digital Release, Pearl, said This mix is very special to me. Not only is it the first DJ Sessions on JOOF Recordings – a huge honour – but is also a purely digital release, something that drew my interest immediately. This record label has only quality releases so it wasn’t a tough ask to sift through it and find these gems. Putting them together was a whole different story though. I took my time to tell a story with this mix and I’m glad it comes through for a lot of people when they hear it. A mix is more than just perfect key changes and matching tracks to me..it’s about feeling which direction you want to go with the limited tracks you have and really getting immersed in that process. It can be magical….
