MUMBAI: Diwali is not only the festival of light and happiness, but also a festival of gifts! A time to celebrate and splurge. So, Red FM Jaipur did all the efforts in making this diwali all the more festive for the listeners in its true bajaate raho ishtyle. Along with the sounds of crackers and rockets renting the air, and in the course of gifts and sweets, Red FM made the celebration more joyous by starting a series of on-air and on-ground activities and contests to have a dhamakedaar diwali.
On October 15th Red FM started a very special contest for three days named Red FM Diwali ka Matka…. Every hour the callers were given prizes ka jhatka. It was an interesting contest where callers were given three cards (be it actors, directors, singers etc) which had the connection with the songs played in that particular hour. The moment all the cards were revealed, they had to tell the connection of the songs with the cards through SMS. Every hour one winner was selected who was given gold jewellery sets by satva jewellery and RED FM’s goodie bags.
Then apart, just like the RJ’s working 24X7, there are lots of people who work on Diwali so Red FM gave a Red Salute… to them and gave a platform to share their emotions with the listeners. It was an opportunity given to the people who generally feel left out due to excessive work during the festive season
On diwali people are in full mood and want their house to look the best for which they start the cleaning and shopping almost a month before. Red FM added to this special task by asking nominations for the best decorated house. Later, red FM team went to the selected houses, chose one and awarded them a special prize. Live links were also given from that house to add that special colour to the festival of lights.
The entire programming of the station had the elements and feel of the festival of lights. In all, the festive mood was in full swing on Red FM 93.5. bajaate raho!!!!
