MUMBAI: The first and Number one fm station of North Bengal and Sikkim Radio Misty 94.3 fm will start the festive sprit of Durga puja with organizing 4 km Radio Misty fraternity run with Baghjatin Athletic Club in Siliguri. Beside this Radio Misty is partner to half Marathon organised by club. This is silver jubilee year of marathon. Leading sports personalities are expected to attend inauguration ceremony.
Mahalaya is an auspicious occasion observed seven days before the Durga puja, and heralds the advent of Durga, the goddess of supreme power. It is an invocation and invitation to the mother goddess to rise, awake and descend on earth and annihilate the evils of the world by her Supreme Goodness.
West Bengal Minister for Urban development Asok Bhattacharya and Mayor of Siliguri municipal corporation Munshi Nurul Islam inaugurated the official logo for Marathon and Fraternity Race at a Function here. Radio Misty has been part of this event last year also.
