MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM, India’s leading radio network emerged as the clear winner at the Indian Radio Forum Awards held in Mumbai on 22nd May. Mirchi swept 12 Excellence in Radio Awards making it the highest awarded radio station. From winning awards for the Best Radio Program (Bengali) to the Best Interactive Campaign to the Best Radio Program Hindi for non-metro stations.
Radio Mirchi has continuously pioneered innovations in the private FM industry through its unique programming content, activations and various platforms like Mirchi Mobile, Mirchi Music Awards and KAAN Awards. The 7thIRF awards showcased Mirchi’s various achievements as the Radio network won a record 12 awards spanning various categories.

For the first time ever, the newly introduced Awards for Best Radio Program (Marathi) and Best Radio Promo (In House – Marathi) were also lapped up by Mirchi. Other awards that Radio Mirchi bagged were Best Radio Program in Bengali, Gujarati and Kannada. In the Promotion and Marketing Category, Radio Mirchi won the Best Radio Promo In House Awards in Telugu and Bengali. Mirchi also won accolades for Best Radio Station Imaging Innovation for its 9th Birthday campaign, Best Interactive Campaign for Faadu Fillum, Best Creative Campaign for Radio films by Mirchi Productions.
The award for Best Radio Program (Hindi) for non-metro stations went to Mirchi for their ‘Janmashtami Special’ campaign in Bhopal. Bezawada Basha from Radio Mirchi Vijaywada won the Best RJ of the Year (Telugu).
