MUMBAI: Radio Misty Chief Executive Officer Nishant Mittal will be honoured by Kavi Samir Chakravorthy Memorial Samman at International Literary Festival to be held at Siliguri on 24th December. This is 28th Year of Festival organised by Uttar Bengal Natya Jagat.Writers, Musicians, Poets, folk artistes from all over India and Bangladesh will participate in this Gala two days celebrations. These celebrations will be held in Siliguri and beautiful hill town Mangpong.This festival draws huge crowds from all over the region.
According to Bipad Bhajan Sarkar, Secertary of organising committee Nishant Mittal is the youngest Radio CEO of the country. Under his leadership Radio Misty has become a household name in North Bengal and Sikkim. Nishant with his able leadership have done a wonderful job to create a platform for young and budding artists in this region. This has bought many hidden talents in limelight. Radio Misty is airing shows in Hindi, Bengali, Nepali, English and Bhojpuri and promoting local music and culture. Radio Misty has stations in Siliguri in west Bengal and Gangtok in Sikkim. So on eve of this International Literary Event we will honour him with Kavi Samir Chakravorthy Memorial Samman for his work in field of Music.
This Literary Event will be graced by Noted Writer Samresh Majumder,Debarta Biswas, Bikash Biswas, Ruchismita Ghosh, Shantipriya Bandhopadhaya, Biswajit Nandi, Bapi Chakravorty, Maloy Ghosh, Mangal Manjhi, Subir Bhattacharya, Sushant Basu, Dilip Faujdar, Debahsish Chaki, Dr Gourmohan Roy, Nritya Guru Runu Bhattachrya, Former Speaker Of Tripura Assembly Amarendra Sharma, Pranji Basak.There will huge gathering of witers, poets and Artisies who will discuss on various aspects of art and culture in region.
