Mumbai: Known for its music supremacy, Mumbai’s melody FM station – Radio City 91.1FM premiered renowned Pakistani singer Shafqat Amanat Ali’s first-ever solo album â€?Taabeer’ on â€?Whatte Fun Mornings’ (7 – 11 AM) with RJs Singh-Chana today. Shafqat Amanat Ali (of ex-Fuzon fame) has been the voice behind popular Hindi soundtracks â€?Mitwa’ (O.S.T: Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna), â€?Ye Honsla’ (O.S.T: Dor) and â€?Caravan’ from the upcoming movie, Hello.
As part of the association, Radio City 91.1FM has exclusive access to all song-tracks from â€?Tabeer’ including the lilting lead track â€?Khedenaal vaa – main naee jaanaa’. Joining RJs Singh-Chana LIVE in-studio in Mumbai’s Radio City 91.1FM today, Shafqat Amanat Ali spoke at length on an array of topics ranging from Bollywood, the difference between Mumbai and Karachi among several others.

Shafqat emphasized that there is absolutely no difference between Karachi and Mumbai and that the â€?sarhad’ is just a geographical definition!

Talking about his album, he said
â€?Taabeer’ means completion of one’s dreams and with this album, his own dream has come true. He revealed that one of the lines in a song â€?Khedenaal vaa – main naee jaanaa’ is an original track but he picked this line since he could relate to it.
His album launch in Delhi was received spectacularly by audiences and he eventually had to request them to stop thronging the stage area.
