MUMBAI: While it may be a crowd as far as music streaming and listening services on mobile phones are concerned, there’s nothing like the good old radio. Allowing enthusiasts to take their radio love to an altogether new level, mSpot recently revealed Radio Spotter, a distinct music service that combines cloud music and storage locker service with streaming radio. Users have the option of discovering similar music being played on any internet radio station.
The service is said to be highlighted with two main features. First it matches the songs users listen to from their cloud music collection to similar music being played across many radio stations online. It also recommends internet radio stations in the â€?Stations Suggestions’ tab. This tab suggests what users would prefer based on analysis of their existing music details. Users can tune in to a wide-range of genres including Latin, Bollywood, Youth and much more. Users can select various Internet radio stations offered by the â€?Browse Stations’.

The application simply works by putting the music collection on the cloud by visiting, mSpot.com. Users need to upload the music collection from the PC/Mac into the personal music locker online. The app can be accessed from users Android or any PC/Mac. Downloading the mSpot Android App will display the music on the users’ handset. Favourite songs can be saved on the app homepage. In addition, new songs can be marked for future reference and will be automatically synced to users’ online account.
mSpot Music Radio Spotter beta is available in the Android Market only for Android users in the U.S. iPhone, PC/Mac and other internet supported devices will be offered the service later in 2011. As for mSpot Music, it offers a generous free 5GB of cloud storage. Users can also acquire additional storage of 40GB for $3.99.
