Mobile Web Opens Doors for Non-Profits Like Music Empowers Foundation

MUMBAI: Music Empowers Foundation, the national not-for-profit that provides grants to fund innovative music education programs for kids, today announced the launch of its mobile website.  This represents the Foundation’s latest effort to expand its awareness via the use of technology and social media, such as Twitter and Facebook, to reach potential supporters.  Music Empowers’ new mobile website will contain similar content as that seen on the Foundation’s main website, but now formatted specifically for smart phone users.

“It’s terrific to see non-profits like the Music Empowers Foundation take advantage of mobile technology,” said Lou Kotsinis, partner and co-founder at BCS Interactive, the interactive agency that developed the Music Empowers mobile Web site.  “Mobile is still very much in its infancy, and the Foundation is opening itself up to a whole new audience of fans and donors.”

“So many of our supporters and potential supporters are always on the go.  They’re not sitting in front of a desktop computer – they’re constantly using their smart phones to connect, do research and stay up-to-date,” explained Andy Davis, Founder of Music Empowers Foundation.  “We needed to find an easy way to allow these potential advocates to learn about Music Empowers anytime and anywhere they want.”
