MUMBAI: The Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival is proud to announce the partnership of iHome and METAL OF HONOR, an awareness and fundraising effort focused on the needs and challenges of our active duty military, veterans and their families. The tour will raise funds and awareness for the needs of today’s combat veteran. For a third year, METAL OF HONOR will donate to Hope For The Warriors (http://www.hopeforthewarriors.org), a national nonprofit organization that assists post-9/11 service members, their families, and families of the fallen who have sustained physical and psychological wounds in the line of duty.
“Giving back and showing gratitude to those that have sacrificed for all of us and those who continue to sacrifice is the message we want to spread,” said Mayhem producers John Reese and Kevin Lyman.
A portion of the proceeds of each Rockstar Energy Drink Mayhem Festival ticket sold will go to Hope For The Warriors and another nonprofit, Pathway Home. In addition, the METAL OF HONOR in partnership with iHome awareness campaign will encourage patrons to support through a text-to-donate campaign. Semi-trucks from the tour will be wrapped with the nonprofits’ logos and the text number, providing nationwide exposure on major highways throughout North America for more than six weeks. Additional social media outreach efforts will be utilized to bring the message to rock music lovers worldwide. METAL OF HONOR in partnership with iHome will also have an onsite presence at each festival date highlighting Hope For The Warriors, The Pathway Home and other nonprofits to support.
“The Rockstar Mayhem Tour has helped Hope For The Warriors reach both veterans in need of our assistance and new supporters across the country,” Robin Kelleher, Hope For The Warriors president said. “We are thankful for their continued focus on the needs of today’s veterans.”
