Max and Mirchi bring Ritesh and Jacqueline home in a copter to watch IPL3!

MUMBAI: In a hurry to reach their homes and watch the first IPL match of the season, earthling Ritesh who plays Rajesh Parekh in Milap Zaveri’s â€?Jaane kahan se aayi hai’ and his alien friend Jacqueline aka Tara came flying in a helicopter with Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM RJ Prackriti and landed right at the landmark Mahalakshmi race course in central Mumbai

The helicopter ride, courtesy Max and Radio Mirchi was part of their â€?Ghar Ja Ke Dekho’ campaign, the idea of which was to get listeners home as quickly as possible during the first few days of the IPL season so that they would not miss their favourite cricket teams battling it out on the ground.

Max, the official broadcaster of the DLF IPL has partnered with Radio Mirchi 98.3 FM for this unique promotion, the central thought being providing comfort and ease to the country’s avid cricket fans such that they can watch IPL matches, on time, in the cosy environment of their homes and in the company of their friends, family and other cricket fans.

The promotion was kicked off by actually flying the two actors from North to South Mumbai, so that they could reach their houses in time for the match. Soon after that, two listeners wiggled out of their work places with the help of Radio Mirchi RJs and were flown to the suburbs of Juhu and Kandivali from their work places in Mahalakshmi!

This chopper ride saved a good one and a half hour of my time which I would have spent in the traffic, trying to get home to watch the match. I’m glad I will be home, well in time now and wont miss a thing… said Ritesh, who will be supporting friend, Shah Rukh Khan’s team, â€?Kolkata Knight Riders’ today….

Jacqueline added that she was excited about the IPL and her favourite team is Mumbai Indians since she lives here now and also because Sri Lankan cricketer Sannath Jayasuriya is on that team.

Max and Radio Mirchi thus played the role of miracle makers this IPL season by helping select listeners triumph over any kind of inconveniences that would have stopped them from enjoying their IPL matches.

Through the next few days, MAX will also assist Mirchi listeners with cabs, two-wheelers or helicopters, order a pizza for them so that they can give cooking a miss that day, give free shopping vouchers/movie tickets to their  girlfriends/wives to indulge in their own fun as the listener enjoys the match peacefully; speak to their boss and beg him to let the listener leave work early, send nannies to their home to take care of their little ones, send an extra TV set and DTH connections and finally send beanbags for the listeners to relax while watching the match!

Mirchi and Max will also help two lucky people, who really want to watch the DLF IPL in the company of their friends and family by presenting them with two air-tickets to fly to their home town and watch the match with them.
