MUMBAI: This summer we have decided to have a summer activity in our station and named it KODAI KOOLAGALAM. This is just to do our bit to keep our listeners cool in this scorching hot summer. The activity started on 20th april and have planned to club it with our 6th year anniversary which falls on 5th of May. The basic idea of the event is to quench the thirst of our listeners by keeping them cool. We at suryan fm wanted to accomplish this through our fm in a different way and took methods like playing songs related to cool mood, rainy, etc which would make listeners to relate them with the song and have introduced few sparklers ( Spikes) named Dr.Cool & Jil Jil Ramamani.
Dr. Cool is a character who advices listeners in a comical manner of how to keep them cool in this hot summer. Since this is an election period we have incorporated this character as a politician who advices to a large gathering in a meeting.
Jil Jil Ramamani is a character from a remote village in Coimbatore, who speaks in a typical Coimbatore nativity slang describing about the entire cool destination in and around India. She gives detailed information about the place, geographical location, nearby land mark, places to visit etc.
Apart from this we have decided to give lot of prizes in each and every show to the listeners to keep them cool.
We have also planned for a mega on ground activity which is clubbed with our 6th year anniversary. The on ground activity is a family event to be held in VGP. We expect around 400 members (i.e 100 families X 4 members). The activity will have fun games, water games and an exciting day out with celebrities.
