INgrooves Launches New Digital Supply Chain Platform for Universal Music Group

MUMBAI: INgrooves, a leading provider of digital distribution, marketing and promotion services to the global music & video community via its ONE Digital platform, has announced that its ONE Digital division has replaced Universal Music Group’s existing digital supply chain in North America and has assumed responsibility for all online and mobile deliveries to retailers such as iTunes, Amazon, AT&T, Verizon and hundreds of other destinations. The announcement was made today by Robb McDaniels, Founder & CEO of INgrooves.

Prior to this launch of a new platform to replace UMG’s existing digital distribution systems, INgrooves had been managing digital delivery of UMG’s third-party content, such as Disney Music Group, Concord Music Group and Fontana.  The success of that effort led to UMG’s decision to expand the relationship to include their entire owned North American repertoire.

“The engineering and IT teams at both companies deserve high praise for successfully executing an integration of this magnitude in an incredibly short amount of time,” said Mr. McDaniels “It is no small task to provide the world’s largest music company with a customized enterprise software platform that combines robust functionality with cost effectiveness, and we are proud to see the validation of our ONE Digital platform continue with this implementation.”

Vincent Freda, UMG’s Executive Vice President of Digital Logistics and Business Services, said, “The successful launch of this platform illustrates INgrooves’ technical strength and commitment to excellence.  We are pleased to be expanding our relationship with INgrooves in North America.”
