MUMBAI: HT Media launches the â€?Go India! Go for Gold!’ campaign to cheer the Indian Teams participating at the CWG 2010 Delhi. The campaign involves creating awareness about the Games, promoting the spirit of sportsmanship and endeavoring to bring about an emotional connect with the Games for the people of Delhi. This campaign is hosted under the combined aegis of CWG Organising Committee and HT Media Limited Entities: Hindustan Times, Hindustan and Fever 104 FM; and is being spearheaded by Fever Entertainment

The mega on-ground event as part of the campaign titled – â€?Go India! Go for Gold!’ will be a public-interactive campaign with the aim of generating goodwill around the games and also in bringing about an emotional connect for the Games. The campaign, sponsored principally by Muthoot Pappachan Group, will entail citizens being invited to cheer for the Indian Team participating in the Commonwealth Games through a special activation starting from September 4th-19th, 2010. As part of the activation, canvas panels would be put up across various schools, colleges, malls, markets, offices, etc., in Delhi where people will be invited to affix their hand-imprints as a gesture of â€?high five’ in support of the Indian Team and cheer for the Indian team to Go for Gold and bring laurels for the country.

This activation shall culminate in a March where all canvas panels collected across activation locations with hand imprints which would add up to almost 6000 running feet of hand imprints as Public support and form an iconic wall (temporary backdrop). Along this backdrop, a symbolic March (titled the Go for Gold March) would be held on September 19, 2010 by Delhi-ites to cheer for the Indian Team in its quest for Gold Medals at the Commonwealth Games 2010
