Jannat is an 11-track album of all original songs. Jannat, the title track, it’s an ode to people fighting social stigmas like AIDS, Un-touchability or homosexuality. Chand Chahiye, the video track, is a fun tribute to â€?material girls’. It’s a story of a young man in love who realizes that the only way he can get his girl is by showering her with gifts. The other song Musafir talks about the few moments in the morning in bed before the loved one wakes, Aaj Kyon is a tale of a fateful day. Tujhe Jaane Bina is a haunting lullaby from a father to a son, Hum is a song about friends in College/ School.
Jannat is inspired by the journeys over the past ten years, Ankur has written all the lyrics of the songs. All songs are recorded live. They have an easy to play vibe to them. Ankur feels that anyone should be able to pick up a guitar and hum these songs.
