MUMBAI: Fujifilm Corporation, the world’s leading photographic and imaging company, today announced its latest offering for the India market – the premium compact XF1. The stylish new XF1 is the latest addition to Fujifilm’s X series that offers premium compact cameras. With the launch of the XF1, the Indian compact camera market now has a truly fashionable product that will appeal to the youth and the style conscious buyers at various levels.
Highly praised for their superior image quality and ease of use, Fujifilm’s X series cameras are aimed at those ‘passionate about photography’. The X series currently features award-winning cameras such as the Fujifilm X-Pro1, Fujifilm X100, Fujifilm X10, Fujifilm X-S1 and the recently launched Fujifilm X-E1. The XF1 extends the X series range to a much wider audience.
The launch will help the company widen its product portfolio in India and further accelerate the industry’s transformation in terms of image capturing effects with technology and innovation, offering users entirely new ways of enjoying photography.
The Fujifilm XF1 makes a fashion statement with its stylish design, compact body – synthetic leather covering that resembles genuine leather and resilient aluminium body parts. In addition to its distinctive looks, the XF1 is lightweight, comes packed with smart features and is trendy to look at. The camera is available in three colours – Red, Black and Brown.
The camera’s operating mechanics have also been designed in a manner that they complement the beauty of the camera while in use. A simple touch of the zoom ring lets the user select any of the three camera configurations. In portable mode, the lens retracts fully inside the body, minimizing camera size. While on the standby mode, the lens partially extends but remains closed. And with one touch of the ring, the shooting mode gets activated.
The camera is armed with the newly developed f/1.8 Fujinon lens, that features a manual 4x optical zoom (25mm-100mm*) operated simply by twisting the zoom ring. Its stunning stylish body includes a 2/3-inch EXR-CMOS sensor and an EXR Processor, which are used in the Fujifilm X10 for superior image quality, feel, and ease-of-use that people have come to expect from Fujifilm’s X series.
The XF1 has been designed as the weapon of choice for the young and vivacious. The camera packs a host of features that allow one to take great quality pictures even in low light conditions.

The XF1 is priced at Rs 33,989.
