MUMBAI: Hungarian superstar ZOLI is hotly tipped to be the next popular Euro export. Hungarian based ZOLI aims to take over the U.S., Australian and U.K. markets with his pop fusion music and European influences.
The singer is now post-production with a series of three singles to be released between 15 August and the end of the year. The forthcoming tracks, Love Game, Take You There, and Like a Star, are all written and composed by ZOLI and comprise of a number of musical styles and influences from his upcoming album.
U.S. based Brad Runge has produced the upcoming singles under ZOLI’s own music label (Z Music Entertainment). In addition, the tracks have been mixed by the elite Rudy Haeusermann of 126BPM (LA) who was worked with the likes of Ke$ha, Hanson, En Vogue and Tupac, and professionally mastered by leading expert Colin Leonard of Sing Mastering (Atlanta) who has mastered work for Justin Bieber, Leona Lewis and Kelly Rowland.
ZOLI came to music at an early age as his mother, a single parent of four children, bought him a piano when she recognised his talent. A classically trained musician, his formative years saw him be educated at Budapest’s prestigious Leo Weiner Music School.
The singer is not only trained classically, but also is an aluminous of the renowned Dr Lauschmann Gyula Jazz conservatory. His musical background in Hungary also involves being a contestant on the Hungarian version of American Idol in 2007, and a member of popular Hungarian band, Freak, which was the main reason for his rise to fame.
Going solo in 2011, ZOLI made the brave move to London to take his success to the English-speaking world. In London he met his producer, an American entrepreneur and businessman, and they set up Z Music Entertainment, an independent record label.
Growing as an artist, ZOLI spent 2012 traveling to the U.S. and London to create his new sound evolving from his traditionally trained music styles to upbeat pop music.
ZOLI is looking forward to sharing his music with the U.S., Australia and U.K., stating, “My main motivation is seeing the reaction when people hear my music for the first time. I’m proud of my classical and jazz roots but I have enjoyed redirecting my sound to contemporary and dance oriented pop music.”
“It is a daunting prospect starting out in the U.S., Australia and U.K., when I have an established fan base back home. But I am positive the audience will believe in my passion for music and performing. It’s an exciting time for me and Z Music Entertainment.”
ZOLI is currently holding a competition on his Facebook www.facebook.com/zolimusic for a chance for one fan to win an exclusive performance by him, just for them.
His last release ‘Sleepless’ is available as a free MP3 download for fans on his website www.zolimusic.com.
