MUMBAI: Universal Music Enterprises and Talenthouse India have collaborated to announce the Eric Clapton Guitar Symphony, with the release of the guitar tabs of ‘Cocaine’. All aspiring guitarists are invited to send in videos of their finest instrumental renditions of one of Clapton’s enduringly popular hits. All submissions will be compiled into an orchestral cover and released on Clapton’s official website along with various social media websites.
One lucky winner will take home an Eric Clapton Stratocaster worth $2500, a super-deluxe edition and vinyl LP version of the re-released ‘Slowhand’ album, along with exposure for their version of the cover. Apart from the grand-prize winner, the highest voted guitarist will also receive a super-deluxe edition of the album as well as exposure on Eric Clapton’s Facebook page.

The videos can be posted on YouTube with the title ‘Eric Clapton Guitar Symphony’. Submissions are open till January 23rd, 2013 with the winner announcement in February 2013.
