MUMBAI: The DRM Consortium will use its stronger than ever presence at NAB 2012 to showcase the developments and potential of the DRM standard, now fully recommended by ITU for both AM (DRM30) and VHF (DRM+).
In partnership with key Consortium members, DRM will present the full potential of this open, energy-saving standard, new practical solutions and receivers during three main events grouped under the theme “DRM – Ready for Transmission and Reception”.
Participants will be offered the chance to learn more about “DRM30 – An economical solution for large area coverage” – and how highly efficient DRM system is as it can deliver up to 80% energy savings – on April 16th at booth C1607 from 1500.

DRM experts will be attending the events which “are a chance to show how much DRM has progressed in these last 12 months”, says Ruxandra Obreja, DRM Consortium chair. “Companies like Continental, Transradio, Nautel, Thomson and their partners have your solution and this will be supplemented by a new market ready receiver from Newstar. With the increased interest in the DRM solution in the US we hope to take all those interest on an interesting and practical DRM trip from transmitter to receiver.
