MUMBAI: The last couple of weeks have seen RJ Jeeturaaj bring the sounds of Indian classical music on Radio Mirchi’s Saturday night show, Club Mirchi. Two weeks back, Jeeturaaj featured the young and handsome sarod maestros Amaan and Ayaan Ali Khan where they revealed to Jeeturaaj, their plans for the future which could include film acting besides performing with their father, the respected sarod maestro Ustaad Amjad Ali Khan.
On Diwali, Saturday 17th October, the renowned Indian classical vocalist, Pandit Jasraaj was on Mirchi’s Club Mirchi this from 9 pm to 1 am.
The living legend who has been bestowed with the title of â€?Padmvibhushan sangeet maartand’ shared with RJ Jeeturaj his life experiences, from the time when he presented his first song based on â€?Raag Multani’ on a radio station to an incident when he stopped singing right in the middle of the show, which he believes was â€?Divine intervention’.
Mumbaikars heard Pandit Jasraj talk about the â€?Indian Music Academy’ that provides a platform to upcoming musicians. Pandit Jasraj was also heard talking with child like enthusiasm about his upcoming concert in Pune and his coming together with Lata Mangeshkar for the very first time, for a Marathi film.
