MUMBAI: Valentine’s Day is a day for love and with Grammy’s also happening on the same day, Chennai Live 104.8 FM made sure to make the best of both the occasions. To celebrate the 53rd Annual Grammy Awards, the radio station was abuzz with the nominated songs and artiste features Live updates of the event were also shared in the breakfast show- Live Talk. For Valentine’s Day, all the shows were dedicated to love… that varied from funny and corny pick-up lines being played throughout the station, love songs ruling the airwaves and callers sharing their love stories There were three on-ground events held on the occasion as well. The first event , held at Landmark saw Chennai Live 104.8 FM team carry out interesting games for the shoppers at the store – from hunt for objects with heart shapes, dumb charades about things one associates with love and loads more. The participants walked away with attractive gifts.
To add more fun element to the celebration, in association with one of the most popular hang-out in the city, 10 Downing Street, Chennai Live 104.8 FM threw a fantastic party for the listeners. The â€?Pink Party’, as it was called, had a huge turnout with Chennai’s partygoers making a beeline for the same The evening saw the DJ churn out the Grammy nominated track and popular love numbers from Bollywood.
On Valentine’s Day, Chennai Live 104.8 FM head out to Olympia Tech Park, where RJs Sanobar and Mariyam with their witty take on Valentine’s Day entertained the employees Also adding to it was the live performance by keyboardist Vivin Kuruvilla of Wolf’s Lair fame and singer Nrithya Andrews. The powerhouse show by the talented duo performed some of the memorable love songs of all time. The evening also saw the employees take part in fun arm-wrestling matches, maximum pushup challenge and several fun contests. Several employees also showed off their musical talent. Speaking about the same, RJ Mariyam said, It was a fantastic evening. We had one guy, who did 60 pushups, met two love birds and came across the best bathroom singer, I have ever heard….
