Celebrated folk singer Murra Lala Fafal from Kutch to enthrall audience at The Blue Frog

MUMBAI: 2013 sees the very first Blue Lotus Festival, an outstanding and unique Festival of Indian music and culture taking place in Pushkar, an ancient sacred city on the side of a lake in the middle of a desert! Unique, as it brings into one place music and traditions from across length and breadth of India, from all the major regions and genres.

As part of the musical tour, The Blue Lotus Festival is bringing down folk singer, Murra Lala Fafal from Kutch to perform at the Blue Frog in Delhi on the 27 January 2013 at 9.30 PM.

Murra Lala Fafal is a successive singer from a rural family of Marwada Meghwals, whose tradition of singing goes back 11 generations. In the Kutch region as well as in many other regions, in the traditional communities, children are taught to sing by older members of the family. Murra Lala started his musical education by playing Manjiras and singing.
