MUMBAI: Canada is getting access to a new music streaming service called Deezer in the new year.
The subscription-based website and mobile apps offer access to 13 million tracks from over 2,000 labels.
It’s expected to launch in Canada in by the end of January but pricing has not yet been announced.
In the U.K., prices range from about five to 10 British pounds a month, which is in line with its competitors including Spotify.
In Canada, Deezer will compete against the likes of Rdio and Slacker Radio.
Napster announced it was pulling out of the Canadian market last month after it was acquired by Rhapsody, which does not operate in Canada.
