MUMBAI: The denizens of the city witnessed the glitz, glamour and razzmatazz of music as the Rock band Barefaced Liar (BFL) today launched their debut album Barefaced Liar… at the Hard Rock Caf?©, Hyderabad. The musical extravaganza had the youth grooving to the distinct and refreshing compositions spelled out by the band. The gala evening saw participation from the Hyderabadi rock lovers and socialites.
The 4 member band enthralled the crowd with a variety of rock â€?n’ roll numbers and left them awestruck with their high voltage performance. Band members Akshay Chowdhry (Vocals, Guitars), Sumant Balakrishnan (Guitars, Vocals), Dushyant Purohit (Bass) and Tushar Goyal (Drums) were extremely thrilled at the launch. The album Barefaced Liar is an eclectic combination of twin guitar offensive, haunting bass lines and thumping rhythms. After the debut performance, Barefaced Liar will undertake a multiple city tour to showcase their maiden work.
Formed in 2002, the band is heavily influenced by all time classic sounds of bands and artists such as Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, SRV, Hendrix and Metallica while leaning towards a more modern sound in the style of Tool, Stone Temple Pilots, etc.

The combination of influences backed by a loaded blues rock driven guitar style that developed over the years, led to a unique east-west dynamic that has translated into complete and relevant song writing.
