MUMBAI: The All India Radio (AIR) has invited applications from nine districts of the State for the posts of district- level part-time reporters to work in the news division.
Part-time reporters will be appointed in Mysore, Tumkur, Bijapur, Davanagere, Ramanagar, Chikkaballapur, Koppala, Raichur and Chamarajanagar districts.
Degree holders with three years experience in journalism and residents of district head quarters are eligible. The applicant should also have experience of operating camera, reporting to Doordarshan, visual media, knowledge of typing, computers and ability to read and write in Kannada and English and translation will be an added advantage.

Candidates should be in the age group of 25 to 50 years as on 29.2.2008 and it will be relaxed upto 55 years based on merit. For 3 months from the selection, efficiency will be monitored. The post will be renewed every year.
