MUMBAI: Radio City 91.1 FM, in association with Viacom18 Motion Pictures, organized a fun-filled day for the little kids of St. Catherine’s Home in Bandra on the occasion of Children’s Day. To make the day memorable for the extraordinary kids, Radio City 91.1 FM, along with Viacom 18 Motion Pictures, visited St. Catherine’s Home to surprise them with a spectacular day of unlimited fun, games, contests and a whole lot of excitement.
The celebrations commenced with games that saw the children squealing in excitement and eager to participate. This was followed by a talent hunt where the kids were invited to showcase their awe-inspiring talents. Some sang, some danced and some recited poetry to an enthralled audience.
The highlight of the day was undoubtedly â€?Puss in Boots’. The upcoming movie release by Viacom 18 Motion Pictures has kids all over the country waiting in unbridled anticipation. But the lucky kids of St. Catherine’s Home got an exclusive chance to preview the movie! And that’s not all; the excited kids were given lots of surprise gifts, toys and merchandise from â€?Puss in Boots’ releasing in India on December 2, 2011.
The look on the kiddies’ faces as they waited impatiently for the tattoo-artist to paint Puss’ signature whiskers onto their smiling faces was a wondrous sight! The children were seen jostling each other in eager anticipation to get their faces tattooed.
Speaking on the occasion, Ms. Sagorika Kantharia, Chief People Officer, Radio City 91.1 FM said, We feel privileged to be able to put a smile on the faces of all the children from St. Catherine’s Home. This initiative is a part of Radio City 91.1 FM’s â€?Be the Change’ programme which is aimed at enriching the lives of the lesser privileged sections of the society. We truly believe that such a gesture is a step in the direction toward touching as many lives and hearts as we possibly can. Spending time with the children from St. Catherine’s Home has been an absolute pleasure for us….
The smiling faces at the end of the evening were a clear indication of the success of the Children’s Day celebrations. All in all, the children seemed truly delighted with the festivities organized by Radio City 91.1 FM and Viacom 18 Motion Pictures.
