MUMBAI: Keeping up the promise of being International, Intelligent & Involving 94.3 Radio One had invited acclaimed writer and motivational speaker Jack Canfield to an engrossing session of conversation with RJ Hrishik. Jack was at the studio and the tete a tete concluded on an interesting and fruitful note. Affectionately known as “America’s Number 1 Success Coach”, his famed motivational essay ‘Chicken Soup for the Soul’ has been inspiring millions across the world over a decade now, has gone to create history and records. A teacher, a facilitator, and a psychotherapist, this is Jack Canfield’s third trip to the country which he staunchly believes is set to be the next empire, ready to move the West. Hrishik drew him amidst a swirl of diversified issues ranging from education to value creation to personal and professional goals of successful individuals.

As a build up to the program a 4 days contest was run in the morning and evening show, the lucky winners were provided a chance to meet the man in person. The responses were huge as Hrishik asked listeners to share their life’s stories stirred by reading the Chicken Soup For The Soul Series books. Calls poured in as they were keen on meeting the man who’s books have inspired them in various stages of life. One such listener who came to meet Jack was Perinaz, who is visually impaired and her mother reads out the chicken soup books to her for inspiration every night. She exclaimed “When darkness came in, you showed me joy”. Perinaz was thrilled to meet her mentor asking him a question to which he replied heartily.
The FM biggie which promises to bring forth a revolutionary change allowed listeners to have an interactive session with the man termed as the ‘international guru of modern day philosophy’, who is surely high on life. The “Intelligent” factor which Radio One promises, was tackled, as the city’s favorite breakfast show Good Morning Mumbai host HrishiK discussed with Jack varied topics from “how to tackle the poverty in India” to he being present for the first concert of Bob Dillon”. The station addressed the “involvement” quotient by giving a chance to the listeners to come and have a one on one conversation with Jack and by distributing his autographed merchandise.
