MUMBAI: AGNEE band will be performing on World Music Day for Vh1 & MTV in collaboration with Loreal.
AGNEE consists of Koco, lead guitarist, well known and respected musician in the rock music industry for over two decades, and Mohan, lead vocalist with strong Carnatic and Hindustani classical influences. They’re backed up by a bunch of talented young musicians.

When was the moment you fell in love with music? Do you remember the song which played when you decided that you want to pursue music as a career?
Since childhood, each one of us have had that interest towards music. We did not think of anything else.
Where do you go to for inspiration?
We draw inspiration from anything and everything. Making music is a continuous process and so inspiration comes naturally. For some of us, ideas emerge while taking a shower. Sometimes it’s just a word that strikes and we make music.
You will be performing on World Music Day for Vh1 & MTV in collaboration with Loreal, tell us more about the collaboration please and which songs can we expect you to perform to?
The collaboration is great and huge. We have had an amazing history with MTV and so bringing us back on this platform give us great delight. The song that we are going to sing is a surprise for the audience.
How do you draw the line between work and personal life? Do you disconnect from music or is it always a part of your life even when you’re not working?
If there is a line between personal and professional life, then it is very thin because we love the time even when we are not performing. We are more like a bunch of friends and not just musicians.
Tell us about a crazy fan moment you’ve had to deal with.
We do not call them fans but friends. Teasing Coco, the band mentioned that all the ladies flock towards Coco.
What’s your advice to budding musicians?
Have fun and make honest music. Make sure that you market your music well once it is released.
