Akshay Kumar, Sidharth Malhotra and Jacqueline Fernandez starrer ‘Brothers’, is one of the most anticipated movies of 2015. And the quality music of this film just adds to the hype around the remake of the 2011 Hollywood film ‘Warrior’.
Gogavale Brothers Ajay-Atul have composed the music of the film. The duo had worked with producer Karan Johar in 2012’s ‘Agneepath’- the film that is remembered for its popular tracks like ‘Chikni Chameli’ and ‘Abhi Mujh Main Kahin’ among others. Their latest offering starts with ‘Brothers Anthem’.
Brothers Anthem:
The music album of the film starts with a punchy track -‘Brothers Anthem’. Powerful musical score in the beginning, inspiring lyrics and zestful vocals by Dadlani makes for a good listen. It is one of those tracks that you would want to hear in loop.
Gaye Ja:
Ghoshal’s magnificent vocals will soothe your heart. Apart from her voice, the instrumentation in the middle of the track is soul stirring. The use of violin in the background is terrific. The track resonates the feeling of a mother who asks her child to not give up despite the difficulties in life. The track is just right, kudos to Bhattacharya, Ghoshal and Ajay-Atul. The male version of the song is crooned by Mohammed Irfan who is equally good with the vocals.
Sapna Jahan:
The track begins with the mesmerising vocals of Nigam, who beautifully croons the song. Mohan too steps up and matches vocals with Nigam. The soulful track is pleasing to the ears. The arrangement of the song is beautiful and one can listen to the song on repeat mode.
Mera Naam Mary:
This is track is yet another peppy Bollywood item song. ‘Mera Naam Mary’ happens to be the remake of ‘Ye Go Yeh Maina’ from the Marathi film ‘Jatra’ (composed by Ajay-Atul), however, it fails to recreate the magic of ‘Chikni Chameli’. Singer Chinmayi Sripada has sung the track well but does not do full justice to it.
Overall the album is composed beautifully by Ajay – Atul. There are no loose ends in the album, which makes it one of the brilliant compositions of the duo. Do not just pick one track from the album and judge it, listen to all the songs.
