Tell us about your new song Mañana?
Mañana is a song I created with a hint of Spanish vibes as I was like to change it up with every song I release and make it a little different. So I wanted to make the international vibes and fuse them. I am really happy to see my fan’s reaction and their love for my song.
Idea of coming up with this name? How is it relatable?
Mañana means ‘tomorrow’ in Spanish. So in the hook chorus, I’m singing about how I am not interested in this ‘person’ so he can call me tomorrow because I’m going to have some fun and forget about him. It could also be ‘main ne aana’ in Punjabi haha! So it’s a very relatable type of song when it comes to relationships and current love affairs.
Incredible moment during the shooting of video?
Yes! just seeing the set was great and the end product. I came across a few hurdles with this video but I manage to get there in the end. Honestly, shooting for your own song is always the best feeling in the world come what may.
Which songs do you hear the most and genre you wish to try ?
I hear a lot of songs! I love J balvin, Dj snake songs and recently been loving Dheeme Dheeme. I love both the UK and Indian genres of music, but I definitely want to try a singing a Hindi Bollywood number.
Who do you admire the most in the music industry and wish to collaborate with?
There are so many wonderful composers and artists in this industry. When I hear some of the melodies and voices I’m just like wow’. Shreya Goshal is like wow. I think Vishal and Shekhar super amazing songs they create. There are many people that inspire me like A.R Rahman. I would like to collaborate with a few Indian composers/ producers and some international too.
Message to the viewers and budding singers?
Please do not give up at times when it feels like your whole world is crashing down and you can’t go any further. This industry is very tough You have to keep going. Don’t let anyone tell you that you cannot. Stay positive and good things will always come.
