MUMBAI: Chinese telecom equipment provider ZTE has announced the launch of its first single chip LTE smartphone the Grand X LTE (T82) at CommunicAsia2012.
The handset is equipped with 1.5 GHz dual-core Qualcomm Snapdragon S4 processor, android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 8MP camera supporting 1080p HD video shooting with playback, front camera supporting 720p HD video calls, WiFi support and 1900mAh battery.
ZTE EVP and head of terminal handset division He Shiyou said, “We are the first company to use the single-chip solution in a handset. The Grand series products are our high end flagship offerings this year. ZTE aims to enhance its profile in the high-end market with the Grand series of smart terminals.”
The handset will be available in the Asia Pacific and Europe in the third quarter of 2012.
