The Yanko design website has unveiled a concept MP3 player called ColorSonic.
Designed by Rhea Jeong of the inflatable bookmark design fame, the conceptual MP3 player wraps in functions that will allow it to display its playlist with color. The project was in fact a result of the designer’s summer internship with Samsung.
The unique MP3 player is bundled with a color for each music genre. So while each color around the player’s ring shaped body represents a music genre, the player will allow users to gain control over their mood. The interactive concept player has been fabricated to suit the user’s mood with corresponding colors for the user-created playlists.
Users can tag 3 selected colors and also control the amount of the selected songs they would like to listen to. The MP3 player has apparently got unique software to back it up along with an ultra-cool color sonic club website. The software is supposedly meant to control a user’s playlist data and other tagging information.
Connecting emotional links for the music a player listens to, the player has been described as a system related color-combination playlists. The conceptual player also allows users too select more than one color from the wheel. In addition to this, the player will apparently be packed with Bluetooth headphones which have been attached with magnetics in the inner rim.
Though there is no official word if the ColorSonic MP3 player will ever pick the light of day, we are hoping to see it come through.
