Nokia has launched N79, the latest in the Nseries of phones. Priced at Rs 22,939, the device comes with an integrated FM transmitter making it a good companion for music lovers.
The Nokia N79 comes with a 4GB microSD card which can store over 3000 songs. Adding to this, it powers a non-stop music playback time of up to 30 hours combined with high-fidelity dual speaker sound. The new Nokia also allows one to switch on the FM Transmitter and play the music wirelessly. Alternatively, consumers can enjoy access thousands of radio stations via Internet Radio. One can build a personal music collection from tracks online or synchronize PC and mobile music libraries via USB cable.
As a special offer for Indian consumers, the Nokia N79, comes preloaded with ‘Anthems 1998-2008’, a compilation of 19 all-time favourite classic club songs and 17 new age music videos, presented by the Ministry of Sound.
“The Nokia N79 packs cutting-edge technology into a super-sleek, compact design – a characteristic typical of the iconic Nseries,” said Devinder Kishore, director-marketing, Nokia India. “It has been designed for those who want a device that is as appealing as it is powerful. This balance of performance, style and entertainment means that it is a defining step forward from the popular and very successful Nokia N72 and Nokia N73,” he further added.
Besides this, the Nokia N79 comes equipped with a complete range of multimedia experiences such as AGPS with voice navigation, high-speed connectivity, superior web browsing experience, 10 pre-loaded N-Gage games and an advanced 5 megapixel camera. The 5 megapixel camera with Carl Zeiss optics, dual LED Flash and video light captures sharp, clear images and videos that can be edited without even using a personal computer. The addition of a sliding lens cover helps protect the top-quality lens when not in use.
The stylish Nokia N79 also gives consumers a colourful take on convergence and the Nokia Nseries range of devices. Each Nokia N79 pack comes with two additional interchangeable Xpress-On smart covers in different colours. They have an inbuilt microchip that ensures that when the back cover is changed, the display theme changes automatically to match the colour of the cover – perfect for style conscious consumers. The On smart colours available are Light Sea Blue, Espresso Brown, Olive Green, White and Coral Red.
