MUMBAI: Nokia has announced the launch of Symbian Belle collection with three handsets Nokia 600, 700 and 701.
The devices will run on Symbian Belle, the updated version of Nokia’s Symbian Anna operating system (OS).The smartphones will be packed with single-core 1GHz processor, near field communications (NFC), notification menu, widgets, apps and six home screens. The devices will be available in India from the third quarter of this year.
Nokia 600 smartphone also called as Cindy, features 3.2-inch amoled screen, 5MP camera with LED flash and pentaband radio. The device is integrated with A-GPs, accelerometer, magnetometer and also attributes 3G, Bluetooth, HSUPA standard video, and Wi-fi functionality. The device weighing 100g is priced at Rs 12,000.
The company claims to offer world’s smallest smartphone with Nokia 700 which measures 50 cubic centimetres, and weighs 96g. The smartphone is touted with 3.2 inch amoled black display screen, 2GB of internal memory with 32GB expandable microSD card and long battery life offering up to seven hours’ talk time. The device sports Bluetooth 3.0, USB 2.0, HD video capture, 5Mp camera with LED flash and also include 2G and 3G networks, GPs and Wi-fi on board. Nokia 700 is priced at Rs 18,000.
Designed like C7, Nokia 701 is equipped with 3.5-inch black display with Corning Gorilla glass, 8 GB internal memory card with 32GB expandable microSD card, 8MP camera with a dual-LED flash and 720p HD video recording. The device is powered by a 1300mAh battery which offers talk time up to 17 hours and standby time of approx 550 hours. The smartphone is enhanced with connectivity features like pentaband radio, HSUPA 3G, and Wi-Fi.
The device comes with a power saving mode, ambient light sensor, unplug charger reminder, and Nokia compact travel charger AC-15 and is eco-friendly as it is free of PVC and other chlorinated and brominates compounds. Nokia 701 priced is yet to be announced.
