MTS launches three android handsets

MUMBAI: Expanding its reach in android market, internet service provider MTS has launched three handsets MTag 351, MTag 352 and MTag 281 in the Indian market.

Running on Google’s Gingerbread OS, the devices are powered with 800MHz Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 processor, 3MP rear-facing camera and Wi-Fi connectivity with wireless tethering through Mobile Hotspot and MTS TV application enabling a month’s free access to over 100 channels .

MTag 351 is also equipped with a 3.5-inch HGVA capacitive touch panel, front-facing VGA camera that facilitates video conferencing and 1300mAh battery. The handset is priced at Rs 7,499.

Priced at Rs 6,499, MTag 352 also sport 3.5-inch HGVA capacitive touch panel and 1400mAh battery while the MTag 281 tags along with 2.8-inch 240 x 320p QVGA display and 1200mAh batteries for Rs 5,499. All the three devices have 32GB memory card.

Commenting on the launch, MTS India chief marketing and sales officer Leonid Musatov said, “With the launch of these three Smartphones, we have now brought four new Android Smartphones in less than two months. MTS now offers a comprehensive range of Android. MTS MTag 351, MTS MTag 352 and MTS MTag 281 are powered by best in class Qualcomm Snapdragon S1 Processor, running on Android 2.3 Gingerbread platform and come bundled with unlimited ‘All You Can Use’ High Speed Data plans and local MTS to MTS Calls.”
