Motorola unveils Intel-powered smartphone ‘Razr i’

MUMBAI: Google owned Motorola Mobility has announced the launch of its first Intel-powered smartphone ‘Razr i’ in the Europe and Latin American market.

The device is equipped with 4.3 inch display with Corning Gorilla glass, 2GHz Intel Atom processor, android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich upgradeable to 4.1 Jelly Bean, 8MP camera with illuminated sensor, multi shot mode and HDR capability, dedicated camera key, Noise Frequency Control (NFC) and GPS.

The handset also features DuPont Kevlar fiber and a splash-guard nano-coating to withstand spills and splashes and is also preloaded with Android Beam, Google Play Store, Voice Actions, Circle Widget, Google Maps and more.

Motorola Mobility senior vice president consumer experience design Jim Wicks said, “Together with Intel, we are redefining what people can expect from a mobile device. It features a camera that launches in an instant, web pages that load blazingly fast and a device that’s the perfect balance of screen size and fit in hand. ‘Razr i’ delivers all this when you put an Intel-fast processor in a beautifully designed phone and add in extra long battery life.”

Starting in October, the ‘Razr i’ will go on sale in the UK, France,Germany, Argentina, Brazil and Mexico. The pricing and release date is yet to be revealed.
