LG launches flagship smartphone Optimus G

MUMBAI: LG has unveiled its new flagship smartphone Optimus G in the global market.

The device is embedded with a 4.7 inch touch-screen display, 1.5GHz quad-core Snapdragon S4 Pro processor, Android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich OS, 13 MP rear camera, 1.3 MP front shooter, 2GB RAM, 32GB of in-built flash storage, Noise Frequency Control (NFC) and 2,100 mAh battery.

The handset also features QSlide function that shows two different screens simultaneously on one display and the live zooming feature enabling users to zoom in up to five times while the video is being streamed for a close-up.

The company has partnered with LG Chem to develop a battery with a lifespan of 800 cycles unlike standard batteries. LG has also developed True HD IPS+ display capable of generating 470 nits of brightness while consuming 70 percent less power, and G2 Touch Hybrid display, which eliminates the gap between the glass and the LCD panel.

The device will be priced at Rs 48,395 and will be available for sale in Korea from next week.
