MUMBAI: Expanding its Aqua range of smartphones, Intex Technologies has launched a dual-SIM smartphone ‘Aqua 5.0’ in the Indian market.
The device features 5 inch capacitive touch-screen, 1 GHz dual-core processor, android 4.0 Ice Cream Sandwich, 5MP auto-focus camera with LED flash, 1.3MP front-facing camera with video calling facility, 3.5mm audio jack, FM radio, 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth 2.0, GPS, 512MB RAM, 4GB internal memory up to 32GB expandable memory with microSD and 2000 mAh battery.
The handset is further equipped with pre-loaded apps including Flipkart, India Rail, Nimbuzz, Skype and features like gravity, light and proximity sensors and auto call recording.
Intex Technologies (India) Ltd GM mobile business Sanjay Kumar said, “Reaffirming our commitment to quality and pioneering technologies, the newly launched Aqua 5.0 smartphone is a step towards empowering consumers in smaller towns and cities with cutting edge technology at an affordable price. We are targeting a revenue growth of 100 per cent this fiscal with smartphones being the contribution driver. With the launch of this smartphone we aim to meet our business volume targets of five million pieces in this current fiscal. We also plan to extend our budget smartphone range to ten models by March 2013.”
The device is priced at Rs 9990.
