HTC unveils India’s first signature Windows Phones ‘8X’ and ‘8S’

MUMBAI: Launching the first signature Window phones in India, HTC has unveiled ‘8X’ and ‘8S’ devices at a regional launch event in Singapore.

The handsets feature Windows Phone 8 operating system and boasts of studio-quality sound with Beats Audio, Windows Phone Store and Xbox Live. The devices introduce 2.1MP, f/2.0 aperture, 88° ultra-wide angle front-facing camera and supports 1080p video capture.  The rear camera sports 8MP sensor with backside-illumination (BSI) for improved low-light performance, along with an f/2.0 aperture, 28mm lens and the dedicated HTC ImageChip.  The handsets are embedded with a physical shutter button to capture spontaneous action, even if the phone is locked.

Priced at Rs 35,023, HTC 8X comes with 4.3inch HD-resolution super LCD 2 screen with Gorilla glass 2 and offers audio amplifier powering 3.5mm audio jack and the speaker, boosting the audio signal for better sound.  Whereas, HTC 8S sports bright super LCD 4 inch screen with Gorilla glass and is available in Fiesta Red and Atlantic Blue for Rs 19,260.
