MUMBAI: Bollywood and TV press conferences are full of goofy moments. The fact that things done and said at a PC can never be undone still does no good to our aadat se majbur fraternity.
In fact, this week’s biggest blunder took place at Star Plus’ upcoming singing reality show Dil Hai Hindustani’s press meet. Everything was going smooth until a journalist addressed singer-music composer Shekhar Ravjiani as Vishal. Yes, that really happened.
We know that the duo (Vishal- Shekhar) have churned out some great music for Bollywood films, but then they are different personalities. Moreover, one has seen both Vishal and Shekhar judge various reality shows in the past.

Unfortunately none of this information turned out to be any good as Shekhar was addressed as “Vishal” in front of his co-judges, Karan Johar, Shalmali Kholgade and Badshah, who looked shocked at the journo’s lapse.
Ideally, one would have expected a more explosive reaction from a celebrity on being called another name, but Shekhar maintained his composure as he corrected the unforgivable mistake and continued to answer the question politely.
The most interesting part about this ‘foot in the mouth’ situation was that Shekhar was wearing a jacket with his name on it. Shekhar’s name was beautiful placed on the coat in silver with stars around it. Maybe he could foresee the blunder.
