Women in white saris, friends on adventure trips dying in turn, daredevils who risk all to curb evil spirits – whatever the plot, music plays a pivotal role in carrying the plot forward. Radioandmusic.com culled a few from Bollywood’s archives to liven up your weekend.

Spooky and beautiful at the same time, this song sung by Shreya Ghoshal and lip synced by Vidya Balan is guaranteed to give goosebumps. This isn’t the only track that made Bhul Bhulaiyaa memorable. The title track along with ‘Labon Ko’ and ‘Allah Hafiz’ are unforgettable too.
Ragini MMS 2 (2011)

The beginning of Ragini MMS 2 was remarkable just because of the song ‘Baby Doll’ featuring Sunny Leone. It happened with the ending as well. The movie ends with ‘Chaar Botal Vodka Kaam Mera Roz Ka’ which gained equal appreciation. The romantic number ‘Maine Khud Ko’ also gathered plaudits from fans.
Raaz (2002)
Mentioning one or two songs from Raaz would be an injustice to the movie. The whole pack was dynamite. Raaz remains one of Bollywood’s best horror creations. Versatile music directors Nadeem-Shravan, long absent from the scene now, composed the score for the film.
Ek Thi Daayan (2013)
Hum cheez hain bade kaanm ki, Yaaram
Humein Kaam pe rakh lo kabhi, Yaaram
Veteran Gulzar pens the lyrics of this song with a twist of modern love. The voices behind the venture were those of Sunidhi Chauhan and Clinton Cerejo.
Though the movie received mixed reviews, the audience loved this song.
Krishna Cottage (2004)
Bepanah pyar hai aaja
Tera intezar hai aaja
Once you start listening to this track, you can’t stop. Neelesh Mishra wrote the lyrics and Shreya Ghoshal’s was the haunting voice. ‘Bindass’ was the other song from the movie which became a hit too.
Raaz- The Mystery Continues (2009)
When compared with first film of the series, Raaz 2 maintained the repo it created when it comes to music. The song ‘Soniyo’ was a mega hit and fans still remember it for the magical touch the song created in the voice of Sonu Nigam.
Singer Toshi sang another popular number, ‘Maahi Maahi’ in the film.
Kaal (2005)
The perky songs from the film go against the image of the ‘haunted’ genre, but were just as gripping. The songs put you as much on edge as the film did. Salim-Sulaiman and Anand Raj Anand composed the music for the film.
Is kaal kal mein hum tum karein dhamaal
One of the best songs of the year it was released, this song features Shah Rukh Khan and Neeti Mohan.

Haunted- 3D (2011)
Tum ho mera pyar, tum se hi qaraar
Tumko hi basayaa mene yaadon mein
Consumers of the horror genre really took well to this movie and the songs it featured. Here is the best song of the film, which could count as one of KK’s best too.
Raaz 3 (2012)
Doubtless, the horror musical series did a great job in its third film as well. This is our most loved song of the film.
