Radio Mirchi tops metros again

MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi has reclaimed the slender slip it had suffered in Bangalore last week and is on tops in all four metros in week 25, according to the latest RAM data.

Bangalore : In Bangalore, Radio Mirchi has upped its share by 1.6 percentage points, to end with a market share of 19.9 per cent. Big FM, which had managed a lead last week, is back to second spot with a market share of 17.7, having lost 0.8 percentage points in the process.

Fever remains a distant third, with a market share of 12.6 per cent, having lost 0.4 percentage points in the process. All India Radio’s FM Rainbow follows close behind with a share of 12 per cent, having lost 0.9 percentage points. Radio City, SFM and Radio One trail the pack.

Delhi: Mirchi’s stranglehold on Delhi continues with a market share of 25.9 per cent, a gain of 2.1 percentage points over the previous week. The station stands head and shoulders over nearest competitor Fever with a market share of 16.2 per cent, which lost 0.1 percentage points. The third station is AIR’s FM Gold with a share of 16 per cent, having lost 1.2 percentage points. Radio City lags behind at fourth place with a share of 8.9 per cent.

Kolkata: Mirchi leads the city’s FM stations with a share of 19.7 per cent, having gained 0.3 percentage points. Big FM has lost 1.4 percentage points, but managed to stay in second place with a share of 13.9 per cent, a place it shares with Friends FM, which has gained 1.8 percentage points. Aamar FM with a share of 11.3 per cent is fourth while Red FM with a share of 8.2 per cent, follows at fifth position.

Mumbai: All top three players in Mumbai have lost market share this week, but Mirchi stuck to the number one position with a share of 17.1 per cent, having lost 0.2 percentage points. Red FM had a share of 15.9 per cent, having lost 0.6 percentage points, while Big FM had a market share of 12.9 per cent, having lost 1.2 percentage points. Radio City comes a close fourth, with a share of 12.3 per cent, having gained 1 percentage point. AIR’s FM Gold is next, with a share of 11.7 per cent, having lost 1.6 percentage points.
