MUMBAI: Radio Mirchi has refused to give up its lead in the four metros in week 27, according to RAM data just out.
Red FM is snapping at the leader’s heels in Mumbai, and Fever has managed another surge in Delhi, but in the 12 plus demographic in the metros, Mirchi’s hold appears strong for the present.
Bangalore: Down south, Mirchi gained 2.4 percentage points to end with a market share of 20.1 per cent. Big FM lost 0.9 percentage points, but still managed second place with a share of 17.3 per cent. Fever remained a distant third with a share of 13.7 per cent, despite having gained 0.4 percentage points. Radio City, with a share of 12.2 per cent, stayed ahead of AIR’s FM Rainbow which had a share of 11 per cent.

Delhi: Radio Mirchi lost 0.4 percentage points to end with a market share of 25.2 per cent, but stayed clear ahead of its rivals. At second position, Fever gained 1.3 percentage points and ended with a share of 17.3 per cent. AIR’s FM Gold lost 0.3 points to end at a share of 16.2 per cent. Red FM, Radio City and Big FM followed the top four, in that order.
Kolkata: Mirchi lost 0.4 percentage points in Kolkata, but still stayed ahead of the competition with a share of 19.1 per cent. Big FM was a distant second, with a share of 15.3 per cent, having gained 0.7 points. Friends with a share of 12.4 per cent, came third, having lost 0.3 percentage points Aamar FM was next, with a share of 10.9 per cent, having lost 0.9 points. Red, Fever, Meow and Radio One followed.
Mumbai: Both Mirchi and Red FM gained in Mumbai, the former with 0.6 points and the latter by 0.7 points. Mirchi held to the number one position, with a share of 18.2 per cent. Red FM had a share of 16.1 per cent. Big FM with a share of 13.2 per cent, lost 0.3 points. Fever shared the third place with Big, having gained a considerable 2.1 percentage points. AIR’s FM Gold was next, with a share of 11.6 per cent.
