MUMBAI: Ameen Sayani, the popular voice that has enthralled radio listeners for years, brings yet another gem from his collection – ‘Sitaron ki Jawaniyaan’ only on Radio City 91.1 FM.
For more than 3 years now, Radio City 91.1 FM has been airing his popular show ‘Sangeet ke Sitaron ki Mehfil’. The show has a repertoire of songs showcasing gems from Indian film music mainly from the mid 1940s to early 1990s interwoven with interviews of legendary artists such as RD Burman, SD Burman, Mohd. Rafi, Lata Mangeshkar, Asha Bhosle, Madan Mohan, Kishore Kumar & Mukesh.
And now, India’s iconic broadcaster Ameen Sayani has dug into his rare archives once again & retrieved a truly dazzling array of interviews with some of the most outstanding filmstars: heroes, heroines, villains, comedians & character actors. ‘Sitaron ki Jawaniyaan’ has a complete account of accomplishments of the lives of the celebrated icons of the golden era.

This glorious new ‘revival’ series will commence on Radio City 91.1 FM from Sunday, 8th June, 2014. The hour long show will be broadcasted on Sundays from 12.00 noon with a repeat from 9pm – 10pm the same night.
‘Sitaron ki jawaniyaan’ will be carried simultaneously by across 16 stations of Radio City 91.1FM viz. Mumbai, Delhi, Ahmedabad, Ahmednagar, Akola, Hyderabad, Jaipur, Jalgaon, Lucknow, Nagpur, Nanded, Pune, Sangli, Solapur, Surat and Vadodara.
