MUMBAI: A new distribution deal was signed between BBC World Service and Kesmi FM which will allow BBC to reach out to larger audiences in Ghana.
The English programmes of BBC World Service will now be made available to listeners around Tamale and Northern Ghana following a partnership with Kesmi FM. BBC World Service business development manager Steve Martin said, “There is a strong demand for BBC content in Ghana. Radio listeners in the country continually tell us how much they enjoy hearing programmes from the BBC and, thanks to this new partnership with Kesmi FM, even more people in Northern Ghana are able to listen to BBC World Service content on their FM radios and mobiles. They will be joining over a quarter of a billion people worldwide who choose the BBC as their trusted source of news.”
Every weekday, Kesmi FM will broadcast a range of BBC World Service English programmes such as -breakfast news and current affairs programme Newsday; daily news programme- Focus On Africa; Sports Today and Sports News; and business and finance programme- World Business Report.
