MUMBAI: Recently nominated for three 2014 Americana Music Awards including “Artist of the Year”, soulful singer-songwriter Jason Isbell comes to DPAC, Durham Performing Arts Center, on 6 November 2014. Isbell is joined by special guest breakout country artist Sturgill Simpson, one of Rolling Stone’s “10 New Artists You Need To Know”. This show is presented in partnership with National Shows 2 and Lincoln Theatre.

As a former member of Drive-By Truckers, Jason Isbell’s music and lyrics are influenced by his southern rock and country roots. In addition to his 2014 Americana Music Award nominations, he was recently voted #1 Male Vocalist and #3 Best Songwriter by Nashville Scene’s 14th Annual Country Music Critics’ Poll and ranked #8 in Rolling Stone’s “20 Best Things We Saw At New Orleans Jazz Fest”.
