MUMBAI: Today marks the release of Delhi NCR-based Nigerian rapper YUNG SAMMY’s first offering under DESI TRILL – ‘The Intro’ – a telling introduction to his boundary breaking plans ahead. Drawing inspiration from a unique multi-cultural upbringing, YUNG SAMMY gets his roots from Nigeria where he was born, but soon moved out to India with his family where he was raised. On ‘The Intro’ YUNG SAMMY once again showcases his ability to bring together diverse sounds and stories while paving his own lane in the Indian Rap scene and international music scene itself.
The music video captures YUNG SAMMY in his element, effortlessly switching between English and Hindi flows. YUNG SAMMY is evidently more than just your average rapper, building a bridge between two cultures with his unique identity and original sound. While YUNG SAMMY raps primarily in Hindi, he is also fluent in English, Punjabi, Yoruba and many other dialects.
