MUMBAI: Sagarika Music has unveiled Vaishali Samant`s latest album -V, marking the second time that Sagarika Music has tied up with the artist for her first album “Aika Dajiba.”
The title music video for the album “Ghotala,” has been directed by Sagarika Bam and features Vaishali Samant, Saidh, Sameer Dharmadhikari and Vijay Patkar.
“The Song is written and composed by Vaishali herself, so here we are presenting Vaishali all over again, this time as a composer and lyricist as well. The song has simple lyrics, a foot tapping tune, a lively track and a video which captures the fun and the mood of the song. Overall Vaishali`s performance is fantastic in this album,” says Sagarika Music director Sagarika Bam .
“The casting is unique. Saidah plays the female lead in the video. Being a Russian, Saidah did not know a word of hindi when she was signed on for the role. By the day of the shoot not only was she lip-syncing the entire song effortless but she was also dancing completely bollywood style and all this in a matter of just 12 days. Vijay the villain`s plans, has performed extremely well in his first video.” added Bam.
“I did not plan to compose or write when I started working on the album. It just happened very naturally. I just played the rough tune of Ghotala to Sagarika and we were on with the song. It was a great experience for me. The album has a wide variety of styles including peppy dance numbers, a club track, a soft romantic number and finally a patriotic song. Ghotala is specially for all my fans who loved Dajiba,” says Vaishali Samant.
“There is a Punjabi song called “Mahiya” composed by Avadhoot Gupte, a UP folk based song called “Battiyan Bujhade” composed by Vijay Kapoor and “Gunguni Dhoop” composed by Joy for my non Marathi speaking fans. “Nakhwa” composed by Avoadhoot is sure to appeal to my fans in Maharashtra. The patriotic song ” Mera India” composed by Dudal Saikia and me is my personal favourite. I have also composed a song called Bedardi Balma which is a Euro Trace track, which will appeal to the club/pub audience,` added Samant.
